Control and measuring valve optimises heat-pump COP

Taconova’s multi-purpose AV 23 Setter SD flow-measurement and setting valve provides accurate control of the water/glycol mix in heat-pump applications to optimise COP. The valve regulates and isolates flow and also provides flow measurement via a sight glass and setting scale. These valves provide accurate and fast balancing without diagrams, tables or the need for measuring devices. The flow rate is set using the flow-measurement devices. The valve has a setting scale that provides direct reading of the adjusted flow rate at the sight glass. Flow measurement is based on the principle of a baffle float with return spring, where the reading is on the bottom line of the float. The measuring device is placed in a bypass, isolated from the system flow. Through demand, the bypass is opened and closed through pressing and releasing the valve handle. An advantage of the device is that reading the flow has no influence on the main flow rate, eliminating the need for an additional shut-off device.

New procurement rules for NHS suppliers

New procurement rules mean NHS suppliers will need to demonstrate their green credentials so the NHS can achieve its target of becoming net zero for directly-controlled emissions by 2040, with an ambition to reach an 80% reduction in its carbon emissions between 2028 to 2032.
