Condensing combi boiler replacement nearly halves gas bill

Replacing an existing boiler with a Vaillant ecoTEC exclusive condensing combi boiler in a large house in Glasgow has reduced the gas bill by 42%.
One of the first installations of Vaillant’s ecoTEC SEDBUK A rated condensing combination boilers installed in Scotland is a replacement for a boiler in a private Victorian property in the Lenzie district of Glasgow — and has reduced the gas bill by 42%. John Reid of John Reid Plumbing & Heating, which installed the boiler, says, ‘The boiler was suitable in every way for the client’s requirements. He has a large home, and Vaillant’s ecoTEC exclusive 838 was exactly what he needed. The installation itself was really quite challenging because of the pipework that had been used with the old open-vented system. The system is now sealed. In addition, we recommended that the client used the boiler in combination with Vaillant’s VRT 360f wireless programmable room thermostat for optimum efficiency.’ These condensing combination boilers were created to meet the increasing demand for a condensing combination boiler that provides space heating and domestic hot water for larger domestic properties. There are two models, with DHW outputs of 32 and 38 kW and flow rates of 12.9 and 15.2 l/min, respectively, with a temperature rise of 35 K.
