Grundfos opens news factory in Mexico

Grundfos has opened a £12 million 1700 m2 factory in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Group president Niels Due Jensen said during his welcome address, ‘In Mexico we have found highly qualified staff, a very good infrastructure and positive authorities, and we already feel at home here.’ This factory is part of an overall investment plant scheduled for Mexico that will culminate in 2010 when the investment in the infrastructure is expected to have reached £35 million, with local staff rising from 150 at present to 500. Grundfos has had a presence in the Mexican market since 1994 when it opened a sales company close to Monterrey.
