Hager claims to have won the UK's largest contract for consumer units with a 2-year deal to supply Taylor Wimpey. This housebuilder estimates that it will build more than 17 500 units in 2008. Hager has previously supplied consumer units to George Wimpey, before it merged with Taylor Woodrow to become Taylor Wimpey, which, with Hager's technical help become the first housebuilder to offer RCD protect across all circuits three years ago. At the time, this move to provide extra protection was promoted by both companies as a major safety initiative.
