Moving beyond the construction phase of buildings — Mark Andrews, chief executive of NG Bailey
NG Bailey has strengthened its ICT and building-services capability with the acquisition of s2s. This company is an IP security-focused managed-services provider with a turnover of £7 million. Its acquisition programme has seen NG Bailey integrate a range of complementary businesses into its portfolio since 2004 and forms part of a long-term strategy to develop the company beyond traditional M&E skills. s2s fits within NG Bailey’s existing ICT systems integration and infrastructure business, Bailey Teswaine, and will enable the company to offer incremental ‘intelligent’ services to clients and expand outside both ICT and M&E into the provision of sustainable technologies, including climate control and energy monitoring. Mark Andrews, chief executive of NG Bailey, comments, ‘Since 2004, when we acquired the Teswaine business, we have invested in a series of acquisitions, including Integrated Control Systems just six months ago. ‘This enables us to move beyond the construction phase of buildings and into ongoing management and maintenance, which is central to our vision of considering the total lifecycle of a building from construction to reconstruction.’
