Toshiba supports the next generation of RAC engineers

Dudley College
David Dunn, business development director with Toshiba Carrier UK, hands over six Toshiba split systems to local MP Ian Austin as he opens a new centre for refrigeration and air conditioning at Dudley College.
Students on technical training courses in refrigeration and air conditioning in a new £125 000 centre at Dudley College will be able to practise their skills on six split systems supplied by Toshiba Air Conditioning. Kevin Stevens of Dudley College says, ’30 students are already on the programme, and we did not even have to advertise it. There is a definite skills shortage in this area, but without this equipment we could not run this course. With Toshiba’s help as our industry training partner, we are looking forward to expanding it further.’ Toshiba Air Conditioning will provide visiting lecturers during 2007. The new centre has been created from a former welding area on the Mons Hill Campus.
