SES continues its investment in people

Contractor SES has been received the Investors in People award for the seventh year running. The award recognises organisations that have improved their business and realised goals through the management and development of their people. Managing director Allan McDougall, says, ‘I am proud to be part of a company that has for so long maintained a work ethic that puts people first. A motivated and happy workforce has benefits beyond operational success. It creates an environment where people actually want to be.’ SES has recently instigated a number of enhanced training initiatives, including relaunching its development programme for engineers. It incorporates 24 modules across the topics of management, commercial, technical, safety and personal development. The apprentice training scheme has also been revamped; it has so far seen the company employ 77 craft apprentices throughout the country.

First keynote speakers announced by Europump
