HygroMatik’s VortexSteam reduces absorption distance for humidification

Hygromatik, Condair, humidifier, steam, humidification

By ensuring the rapid take-up of mist/steam introduced into ventilation air in a duct, HygroMatik’s VortexSteam avoids the problems associated with water vapour condensing. They include poor humidification control, and ductwork becoming wet and rusting or supporting microbial growth. Water may also leak into the area being served.

VortexSteam is claimed to halve the absorption distance in applications with flow velocities from 2.2 m/s by introducing mist/steam into the airstream that can be evaporated or mixed sufficiently to prevent the water vapour condensing.

The absorption distance is reducing by optimising airflow turbulences in ducts, saving energy and water by minimising steam loss due to condensation.

Specially developed lightweight and flexible modules can be connected to create a VortexSteam wall. The system is well suited to retrofitting.
