Tight fit was no problem for Gripple

Gripple, suspension system

So crowded was the soffit space in Sudbury Community Health Centre in Suffolk that there was not enough space for a standard Gripple clamp bracket to support pipework. Unfazed, Gripple produced a shorter version to fit the bill.

Terry Carter, the contractor’s project manager, commented, ‘This is the first time we have used Gripple products, and we are more than pleased not only with the quality but also the speed of use — with fewer problems relating to component production, which markedly reduced snagging.’

Pipework formed a significant part of the contract for the 3300 m2 health centre, and Gripple’s pipe bracket solutions, including the Universal clamp, were the perfect answer.

The universal clamp can support pipes with a wide range of diameters, replacing 11 different clamp sizes with their fiddly nuts and bolts. The Gripple approach is six times faster to install, using no tools, cutting or filing.

The contract also included extensive electrical containment, ventilation and air conditioning, which involved several other Gripple products — Hang Fast, the Y-Fit hanger and members of the Trapeze family.
