These heat pumps supplied by Elco UK are the sole source of heat for a new building at a primary school near Ipswich.

Faced with a prohibitive cost for delivering mains gas, a new teaching block at Heath Primary School in Kesgrave, Ipswich. Elco UK, formerly MHS Boilers, supplied two 24 kW Aerotop T air-source heat-pumps to provide heating for six classrooms, two group rooms and toilet facilities. The heat pumps deliver low-temperature water for underfloor heating.

The heating equipment was specified by design and property consultant Concertus of Ipswich.

There are nine models of Aerotop T heat pumps with outputs up to 34.4 kW and COPs of up to 3.7.
