Advice and guidance on selecting and installing the right air-conditioning solution is available through the newly established Trox Design Bureau.
Trox’s engineering and technical expertise in air conditioning is being made available to construction professionals by the setting up of the Trox Design Bureau. It comprises a multi-skilled team with expertise in system engineering, cost estimates, contract/project management and engineering design. It is backed up by a laboratory fully equipped with state-of-the-art thermal, aerodynamic and acoustic measuring equipment. Marketing manager Guy Hutchins says, ‘The Trox Design Bureau draws on more than 50 years’ of experience within the construction industry. It works in close collaboration with the building’s designers to offer a flexible, bespoke service to produce the best building-services solution for a given project. ‘The bureau interacts with our traditional customers — consulting engineers and contractors — but also architects, clients, developed, project managers and quantity surveyors.’ The service provided by the Trox Design Bureau comprises nine main steps: briefing, conceptual design; detailed design; testing; refinement; approval of design of design; contract implementation; and installation. Guy Hutchins says, ‘The result of this integrated approach is a co-ordinated design that offers significant savings in cost-time and effort, and a better designed HVAC solution.’ ghutchins@troxuk.co.uk
