Profits boost for Grundfos

Pre-tax profits for the Grundfos Group grew by 14% in 2004 compared with the year before. Turnover exceeded £1 billion. The growth is attributed to increased sales, improved efficiencies and continuing growth in established markets such as the UK and new markets around the world. The £150 million investment in research, product development and equipment was a record figure. 55 000 m2 of new production facilities is scheduled to open this year in India, Russia, China and Hungary.

New procurement rules mean NHS suppliers will need to demonstrate their green credentials so the NHS can achieve its target of becoming net zero for directly-controlled emissions by 2040, with an ambition to reach an 80% reduction in its carbon emissions between 2028 to 2032.
