Faster solar electricity — the use of Wieland Gesis connectors on Enecsys Micro-inverters for solar-PV panels can reduce installation time by up to 20% compared to onsite wiring.

Cambridge-based Enecsys has selected Wieland Gesis connectors for connecting its solar Micro-inverters to the grid on the AC side of solar PV installations. These pre-wired connectors are factory tested and offer higher reliability and faster installation than onsite wiring.

Traditionally, solar-PV collectors are connected in a string feeding a central inverter that converts DC electricity to AC for exporting to the grid. However, this configuration has inherent inefficiencies and does not harvest the maximum power from each PV panel.

Using an Enecsys Micro-inverter on each panel reduces losses and eliminates the need for a central inverter.

Tests by Wieland have shown that such modular wiring systems for the AC side of Solar-PV installations can reduce installation times by up to 20%.

These connectors provide ingress protection to IP68.
