Potterton donates boilers for converting listed building into rehabilitation facility

A £3.1 million rehabilitation facility in the centre of Harlow created from an uninhabited Grade 2 listed building has its heating and hot water provided by boilers donated by Potterton Commercial. Parent company Baxi Commercial Division was approach by CRASH, the construction and property industries charity for homeless people about donating the boilers.

Passmores House provides care for people with substance-misuse problems. Baxi donated two Paramount two 115 kW boilers.

David Lawrence, surveyor for the project on behalf of Kilby & Gayford, comments, ‘There was only minimal space allocated for the plant room. Consequently, the project required heating equipment that was compact and easy to manoeuvre. The Paramount two boilers were well suited for this project, as they are light, have a very small footprint and are simple to install.’
