Daikin fits out new HQ of air ambulance

Daikin UK, air conditioning

Heating, cooling and hot water for the new head office of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust at Earls Colne Business Park near Colchester are provided by a range of equipment from Daikin UK. A range of VRV, split and Sky Air systems provide climate control. An Altherma low-temperature heat pump provides domestic hot water.

The trust occupies 500 m2 of a 680 m2 block on the edge of a Second World War airfield in Essex. It is half a mile from the trust’s hangar. The Daikin systems were installed by By-Air Conditioning of Colchester.

All the systems are controlled by wired remote controllers.

Daikin systems were specified on the strength of positive experience with Daikin equipment elsewhere in the business park, explains Bob Ely of developer E. Hobbs Farms.
