Legrand wiring accessories meet boutique hotel

Legrand, wiring accessories
Adding to the interior design of a boutique hotel in London is the first use of Legrand Synergy Flat Plate wiring accessories in the UK.

The Zetter Townhouse, a new boutique hotel in St John’s Square in the Clerkenwell area of London has become the first building in the UK to install Legrand’s Synergy Flat Plate wiring accessories. Winner of the Good Hotel Guide’s London Hotel of the Year, The Zetter Townhouse has 13 bedrooms and is described as ‘slightly eccentric’ by its owners Mark Sainsbury and Michael Benyan, ‘fabulous’ by The Sunday Times and a ‘tour de force bursting with character and invention’ by The Daily Telegraph.

4-poster beds, free-standing baths and sash windows are teamed up with flat-screen TVs, iPod docks and state-of-the-art sound systems.

When interior designer Russell Sage Studios approached Legrand for ideas, the suggestion was Synergy Flat Plate, a popular product in Europe but not previously installed in the UK.

Russell Sage himself comments, ‘Hotel rooms need an array of wiring devices — from light switches and power sockets to speaker outlets and shaver points, so they are an important consideration from an interior-design as well as a practical perspective.

‘We used Synergy Flat Plate throughout the hotel in a combination of antique brass and brushed-steel finishes. They enhanced the antique atmosphere we were looking for without being too obtrusive in the room.’
