Photo-voltaic glazing incorporated into the structure of an extension to Park Lane College in Leeds is expected to meet about 15% of the building’s energy requirements. The £6.9 million building includes 60 classrooms. 472 m2 of PowerGlaz from BP Solar has been incorporated into the south elevation.

PowerGlaz is essentially high-performance solar electric cells laminated between glass panels. It was launched in the UK last year.
