Inviron handles care-home M&E

Inviron, contractor

Inviron has been appointed by ISG Jackson to undertake the M&E design and installation for a ‘green’ state-of-the-art care home at the Retirement Village in Great Dunmow, Essex. Called The Moat House, the building has been designed to be in keeping with the current 18th-century building. It will contain 60 en-suite bedrooms, a range of communal facilities for residents, staff accommodation and laundry and kitchen areas.

Inviron is planning to incorporate solar thermal hot water and rainwater harvesting in the staff accommodation. There will also be a combined-heat-and-power plant to meet all heating and hot water needs in the main home.

The project is due for completion by Spring 2011.
