Hybrid ventilation for airtight dwellings

Aereco, ventilation, passive stack

Aereco offers an approach to ventilating airtight dwellings that combines the passive stack system with mechanical ventilation. Normally, passive stack ventilation ducts meet the requirement, with mechanical ventilation being used only when there is not sufficient wind to drive the stack effect. The mechanical ventilation starts automatically, activated by a temperature sensor or pressure controller.

Air is admitted by humidity-sensitive air inlets in bedrooms and living rooms and evacuated through wet rooms. Airflow can be controlled according to the needs of each room.

Mechanical ventilation is provided by just one very quiet fan in a cupboard or ceiling void.

The company offers several kits containing fans, extract units, ducting and accessories.
