Daikin introduces more heat-pump inverter chillers

chiller

Daikin Europe has introduced a new series of air-cooled heat-pump inverter chillers. EWYD-BZ chillers are available in standard and low-noise models [6.5 dB(A) reduction] models. Applications include comfort cooling and replacing conventional boilers. 13 sizes offer cooling capacities from 250 to 580 kW, which can be combined for larger applications.

They have inverter-driven single-screw compressors and use R134a.

A boost capacity in both heating and cooling modes handles extreme conditions, so there is no need to oversize installations.

These chillers can be connected to building-automation and management systems.

Other major heat-pump advantages include a partial heat-recovery option, low current inrush on start-up because of the use of inverters, good power factor and optimised defrost cycles.
