Biomass comes to City of London

Wood pellets are now heating a church in the City of London following the installation of a Broag-Remeha biomass boiler with an output of 145 kW.

The heating system for St Giles Church on Cripplegate was designed by Peter Graham & Associates, with the boiler in the crypt so that it does not disturb the appearance and tranquillity of this historic building.

It is estimated that using biomass pellets instead of natural gas reduces carbon footprint by 75%.
