Small boilers pack in the value

Broag Remeha
Designed for ease of installation, the Gas 310 ECO condensing boiler range from Broag comes on wheels. They are made to a customer’s specification, with a lead time of three days from order to despatch.
By building every Gas 310 ECO boiler to a customer’s specific requirements, Broag optimises the value of each boiler by including only those options required and positioning of components. The boilers can be made left or right handed, the control panel can face the side or the end of the boiler. For their output, these boilers are said to be the smallest available. They are delivered fully assembled, pretested and preset and mounted on wheels so that they can be manoeuvred into position through a standard doorway. The wheels can be removed or left in position. The 310 ECO range is 75 cm wide and 145 cm high, with lengths ranging from 159 to 198 cm, according to output. There are five models in this range of fully condensing boilers, with outputs from 280 to 575 kW. The burner modulates down to 20% of full output and features premix burner technology with control of both gas and air. There is no minimum water flow requirement. Efficiency is up to 109% and NOx levels are very low (<40 mg/kWH), as are noise levels (about 60 dB(A) and 1 m). Broag is a major player in the UK market for condensing boilers. Managing director Brian Price tells us that 82% of Broag’s sales are condensing, compared with an overall UK market penetration of less than 15%.
