Emergency pack adds emergency lighting capability to Megaman low-energy downlighters

Megaman
These emergency packs give emergency-lighting capability to Megaman’s low-energy downlighters and can be installed above the false ceiling by threading them through the downlighter aperture.
Megaman’s emergency pack for use with its integral compact fluorescent lamps incorporates an emergency module, batteries and an LED indicator to provide a system that is easy to connect. The emergency pack operates on maintained or non-maintained systems and provides 3 h emergency lighting at near full illumination. The system has automatic detection for mains switch on/off status to avoid mis-matching and provides emergency switching to DC standby power. Available in 7 to 9 W and 11 to 13 W, this emergency pack is 55 mm in diameter so it will fit through most downlighter cut-outs. For safety, batteries are contained in a fire-proof intumescent material. These packs are designed for use with GX53 and GU10 lamps, which provide a low-energy direct replacement for halogen spotlights. They can also be used with the AR111 reflector lamp with narrow beam optics.
