Supporting the engineers of the future with CIBSE

With A-level results due this month, a new crop of students is about to hit our universities — making it a good time to remind the industry of CIBSE’s student bursary scheme. It was set up in 2004 to support students who might not otherwise embark on a course in building-services engineering. In the past, bursaries have been made available for undergraduates and graduate students. The Manly Trust was the first to make this commitment to students, followed by CIBSE Patrons, the Worshipful Company of Fanmakers, Hays, Wilo and hurleypalmerflatt — as well as Modern Building Services, with sponsorship of an MSc student at London South Bank University. Anyone in the industry who is interested in supporting a CIBSE-facilitated bursary should contact Louise Enslin at lenslin@cibse.org Prospective students should enquire with the relevant course tutor at one of the following universities which offer CIBSE-accredited BEng honours/BSc courses and MSc courses.
