Ideal Boilers supports eco-friendly visitor centre

Two Ideal Boilers Imax W boilers have been installed to support the ground-source heat-pump that meets most of the energy requirements of the underfloor heating and hot-water requirements of the new visitor centre of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Welney in Norfolk. The new 2-storey building has an interactive education centre for students, observatory, café, shop and conference facilities for businesses. Features include the ground-source heat pump for space heating, PV solar panels, energy-efficient ventilation system, and rainwater collection for toilets and to maintain habitats. The W45 wall-hung boilers use propane, since the site is not close to a gas supply. In condensing mode, these boilers can achieve a gross efficiency of 97.3% at 30% load.
