Glow-worm Flexicom boilers address installation issues

All boilers in Glow-worm’s Flexicom range have a direct rear flue option — including condensing models.
Glow-worm’s Flexicom high-efficiency condensing boilers are said to be the only condensing boilers on the market with a direct rear flue option. Combined with their compactness, this feature enables them to be installed in a kitchen cupboard. They are available as combi, heating-only, and system boilers with outputs from 12 to 30 kW. The direct rear flue is available on all Flexicom boilers and is telescopic, so that it does not need cutting to length. There is a host of features for ease of installation. The use of a pull-out block for electrical connections means there is no need to remove the front panel during installation or commissioning. In addition, the Flexicom CX combi can be installed with volt-free controls, enabling installation without Part P approval. The single-piece fixing jig with the CX combi and SX system models ensures the hanging bracket and jig are perfectly aligned, even on uneven wall surfaces. The prefixing jig allows preinstallation and system testing to be carried out before the boiler is connected. All copper tails are clip distance from the wall for easy connection of system pipework. An intuitive liquid-crystal display enables heating and hot water to be controlled simply by adjusting the mode button to determine setting, followed by +/– buttons to set the temperature.
