Pump House supports Cambridge Science Park office building

Pump House, Cambridge Science Park

A new commercial development over two plots in Britain’s oldest Science Park in Cambridgeshire has made use of Pump House technology for its rooftop support requirements.

Pump House was asked by Trentside Fixings in Nottingham to supply a variety of support solutions for the rooftop building services to SDC, the Bedford based contractors working on this development.

Principally, there were several banks of VRF condensers to support, however Pump House also provided the support frameworks for the associated electrical containment, various ductwork stretches and in-line fans on the roof.

The VRF condensers were supported on Flexi Base & Extender frames. These lightweight portable frameworks simply interlock to one another to provide an endless frame length to suit the various VRF runs. Supplied to site boxed with all fixings included, they can be manually handled up to the roof with ease. Fast assembly means these solutions can be erected within a very short frame time.
