Making light work of installing lighting

Flexconnectors
A flexible and energy-saving lighting installation in new premises for Matthew Boulton College in Birmingham has been achieved using products from Flex Connectors.
Lighting connection and control products, extra-low-voltage switching, connection units and prefabricated chains of sockets from Flex Connectors have been used on all nine floors of the new £40 million premises of Matthew Boulton College in Birmingham. The building includes classrooms, meeting rooms, a library and an operating theatre. It enables the college to expand its healthcare, medical and IT facilities. Contractor Interserve Engineering Services chose the Flex 7 range as an energy-saving solution that is adaptable enough to accommodate complex installation requirements, including combining occupancy sensing with options for over-ride switching. The project also uses Flexishield pre-wired conduit instead of standard flexible metal conduit.
