New boilers improve efficiency for school

Elco, boiler, space heating

Elco has supplied three 85 kW Thision L boilers to replace two aging floor-standing boilers at Holly Hill CoE Infant & Nursery School in Birmingham. These highly efficient new boilers were installed on a free-standing cascade frame with a low-loss header.

The boilers were installed as part of the complete refurbishment of the plant room, including a new system design and replacement pipework throughout. An Elco extended service packaged was included with the project.

M&E contractor Staffordshire Mechanical Solutions carried out the work during the summer break to avoid disruption to the school. Dave Seward, operation director, says, ‘The free-standing cascade frame helped reduce floor space in the redesigned plant room. Furthermore, the pre-made headers greatly increased the speed of installation.’
