City of Bristol College has improved the heating system of its College Green Centre and made it more energy efficient by installing four Remeha P420 12-section boilers with fully modulating EOGB/Baltur burners. The site covers about 14 000 m2 and caters for over 1500 students.

The new boilers are installed in the east and west plant rooms on the roof of the building. Each boiler is powered by Baltur TBG 856pn modulating gas burners with a total output capability of 2900 kW.

The new burners modulate down to 25% of full output and improve efficiency by over 30% compared to the old 2-stage burners. The units also have better reliability had lower maintenance costs. They were supplied by EOGB based in St Neots.

This range of burners covers outputs from 10 to 10 850 kW.
