Radiant heating delivers zoned control
Despite the large area, the Nor-Ray-Vac continuous-tube radiant heating in this workshop can deliver zoned heating.
The controllable capabilities of Nor-Ray-Vac continuous-tube radiant heating from AmbiRad are used to the full in the 7500 m2 workshop of drive-technology specialist SEW Eurodrive. This new building required efficient heating to reduce costs with the capability of blanket heat coverage and being specifically zoned to the layout of the production process.
The workshop stocks over £2.5 million-worth of components for assembly 24 h a day, 365 days a year.
Other design features of the building include the workshop and offices being cooled by natural ventilation. lighting is automatically controlled by sensors. There are also 50 kVA of solarPV, solar-thermal DHW and an air-source heat pump for underfloor heating.
