Giacomini supplies underfloor heating for civic-centre refurb

As part of the £85 million revamp of Brent Civic Centre, which makes it the first public building in the UK to achieve a BREEAM ‘Outstanding rating’, underfloor heating was installed by Giacomini in the basement-level changing room.

To help maximise its sustainable performance, the Brent Civic Centre developed a number of innovative solutions. They include using waste fish oil as the primary fuel.

The building has reduced its carbon emissions by 33% using a combination of solar shading, natural ventilation and CHP.
