J S Wright wins major project in north London

JS Wright, contract

J S Wright is to install all the mechanical services for this £38 million high-rise building to provide 222 affordable homes in the tower itself and four other blocks with from one to three bedrooms. The contract for Brook House, being build in the site of the former Cannon Rubber factory in Tottenham for Newton Housing Trust, is worth around £3.3 million.

The development also includes new commercial space and a primary school for up to 420 pupils.

Galliford Try Partnerships has commissioned the company to install an energy centre to provide CHP and boosted cold water for the affordable and shared-ownership homes.

Each home will have a prepayment heating interface unit and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery.

The project is scheduled to take 10 months.
