Mitsubishi boosts the efficiency of small systems

Mitsubishi Electric has brought inverter-controlled heat-pump technology to smaller air-conditioning systems with additions to its R410A M-Series.
Mitsubishi Electric has radically revamped its range of small air-conditioning systems with the launch of a new R410A M-Series range of inverter-driven heat pumps. Donald Daw, product marketing manager, says, ‘This range brings the benefits of air conditioning to the small to medium sector as never before. We have been looking to introduce additional features and benefits to the M-Series for some time, but took a conscious decision to bring these improvements in at the same time as introducing R410A so that we could make the offer across the complete range all at once, rather than introduce it in a piece-meal fashion.’ He further explains that because the company has spent time ensuring that each and every aspect of the range has been looked at, it delivers a quantum leap in performance. The product line up includes a new lightweight and compact inverter ceiling cassette ideally sized for 2 x 2 ceilings, extended piping lengths of up to 30 m horizontally and 15 m vertically, and a new multi-split capability where multiple indoor units can be connected to a single outdoor unit. Additional features such as Econo-Cool allow airflow to be precisely directed so that set temperatures can be raised by 2 K with no loss in comfort while boosting energy efficiency by 20%. There is a wide range of indoor units, including cassettes, ducted wall- , ceiling- and floor-mounted units offering up to 6.2 kW of cooling and 7.5 kW of heating. All units are controlled by a simple remote controller. air-conditioning@meuk.mee.com
