Armstrong Ceilings’ interactive knowledge portal includes the CoolZone system, which incorporates phase-change material into metal ceiling tiles to store and release thermal energy to reduce air-conditioning costs. Anther energy-saving idea is ceilings with high light reflectance to achieve energy savings of up to 20%. Island ceilings for thermal-mass construction can also save energy.
