Solutions for supporting services on flat roofs

Big Foot, roof support system

Big Foot Systems has expanded its Heavy Duty range of systems for supporting plant and services on flat roofs. These freestanding systems can be used for a wide variety of applications — including HVAC, solar and equipment for safe access. Roof penetrations are not required.

The Heavy Duty range includes the HD Cube framework designed to support heavier equipment such as chillers, packaged plant and large air-handling units. Its use avoids the need to hoist RSJs by crane or cast concrete plinths early in the construction, saving installation time on site.

The HD Beam is designed for lighter loads and can be used where space is limited or to position equipment directly over existing structural beams. The HD beam incorporates an M24 stud built into both legs to accommodate roof falls. An optional quick-fitting clamp kit provides a rigid fix back to the services or secondary steelwork.

Custom support systems can be designed using Big Foot software.
