MK revamps its IP-protected range of enclosures

MK, IP enclosures

MK’s Masterseal Plus range of IP-protected enclosures for electrical accessories (pictured) has an IP rating of 66, so it is dust-tight to any ingress, offers complete protection against contact, and high-pressure water jets aimed at the enclosure from any direction will not have any harmful effects. The new design enables them to accommodate virtually any type of moulded-on plug.

Other features included an improved lid catch for easy opening, a fixed sealing gasket and rear drill holes for faster and easier installation. The range is available in grey, white or black.

Masterseal Plus enclosures are designed to house Logic Plus switch and socket variants. These enclosures are guaranteed for 20 years (10 years for electronic products). Applications include factories, laboratories, swimming pools and changing rooms, commercial kitchens, industrial units, warehousing and clean rooms.

For less-demanding applications MK Shield is rated to IP56 and available in grey, white or with a clear lid. The range can be used in stadia, small to medium-sized commercial premises, arcades, parks and for equipment such as vending machines and larger gardening equipment. MK Shield has a 10-year guarantee.

Completing MK’s range of IP products is Splashguard, with an IP55 rating. It is designed for occasional domestic use with, for example, garden equipment and provides power in damp or dusty environments.
