EnOcean introduces developerís kit
Published:  10 November, 2009

EnOcean now offers a developerís kit for its bidirectional Dolphin platform for self-powered wireless technology that Ďharvestsí energy from its surroundings. The EDK300 kit supports the bidirectional TCM300, TCM320 and STM300 modules. Miniaturised transceivers can transmit information and also receive it, enabling, for example, a sensor to indicate if a window is open somewhere so that heating or air conditioning can be turned down.

EDK300 wireless modules can be programmed for custom applications through the application programming interface.

The new STM300 scavenger transceiver can implement energy-autonomous applications to sense temperature, light or air quality, for example.

TCM300 and TCM320 transceivers are well suited for in-line powered components such as flush-mounted actuators, repeaters of gateways.

All bidirectional wireless modules come with standard firmware for building automation. However, users can also create their own firmware, which can be transferred to a specific wireless module by DolphinStudio software and the programming adapter. There is also WinEtel software to receive, transmit, analyse and record telegrams on the air interface.

The EDK300 developerís kit enables users to development energy-autonomous applications for building automation and many other purposes.
