Priva boosts intelligence and openness

Priva
New touchscreens from Priva Building Intelligence provide high-resolution graphical displays that can be customised.
In response to growing demand for interoperability and open systems, Priva Building Intelligence has released an update of its Top Control software, TC 6.0. This new software supports many more protocols and standards. It is compatible with XML, BACnet, Echelon/LonMark, KNX/EIB, ModBus, M-bus, ODBC, SQL and OPC. Other features include Windows compatibility, improved system security and energy-saving programs. A load-shedding program is particularly suited to larger buildings with several sub-systems. The release of this software coincides with the launch of three new products — the Comset HX and Compri HX touchscreens, both available in colour, and the TC BACnet router. The two high-resolution displays measure 320 x 240 mm and provide customisable graphical interfaces. The TC BACnet router enables existing and new Priva Top Control controllers to be transformed into native BACnet controllers. BACnet is gaining ground in the building-controls market. It is a protocol that enables devices from different manufacturers to be incorporated into a single control and operating system.
