Precision heat metering made simple

Danfoss, heat meter, heat metering, space heating

The Danfoss SonoSelect heat meter makes precision energy metering easy for properties supplied by a district-heat network or communal heating system. As well as delivering reliable and consistent energy data, SonoSelect offers installation and commissioning simplicity via a smartphone using the Danfoss SonoApp.

SonoSelect is Class 2 MID approved and can be configured to be mounted on supply or return pipework to each property. There are no inlet/outlet restrictions — and no moving parts.

Heat metering is based on ultrasonic technology. Flow and energy are measured every 0.5 s and temperature every 4 s. Flow measurement is extremely stable, even at low flow rates and with low-quality water.

SonoSelect offers a fully compliant solution to the new Heat Network Regulations, which require all those who supply and charge for energy consumed via district-heat network or communal heating system to implement metering and billing.

Data transfer from individual heat meters for billing can be performed via automatic meter reading, with no need for a site visit. SonoSelect can be upgraded with a communication module at any time.
