Kershaw to deliver M&E services for new school

Kershaw Mechanical Services has landed the £4 million M&E contract for Trumpington Community College in Cambridge. This 8000 m2 project will be the first new-building secondary school in Cambridge for over 50 years and cater for 750 pupils.

The M&E elements to be installed by Kershaw include Breathing Buildings’ natural-ventilation system, ground-source heat pump to provide heating and cooling, gas-fired plant room, full sprinkler system and all power — including intelligent lighting, access control and CCTV.

Designed by Avanti Architects, the project is targeted to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
