Vulcathene pipework earns top honours for university project
Drainage for laboratories in the new science complex at the University of Warwick is provided by Durapipe’s Vulcathene chemical-resistant pipework. The development includes a new 5-storey science building to house research into material and analytical science, encouraging interdisciplinary science projects in the university.
M&E consultant Couch, Perry & Wilkes specified Vulcathene for the chemistry and physics laboratories for installation by NG Bailey.
Vulcathene in sizes from 38 to 103 mm was installed for the chemical-drainage requirements.
Steve Davies, site engineer for NG Bailey, said, ‘I’ve worked with Vulcathene for many years — simply because it is tried, tested and proven. I trust this system 100%. In addition, it’s a simple system to install because both the Mechanical and Enfusion Vulcathene provide ease of jointing.’
